Last updated: 16 June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and GutLog ("we", "us") governing your use of the GutLog app. By downloading or using GutLog, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use GutLog on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's App Store Terms of Service and these Terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app except as permitted by law.

2. Medical disclaimer

GutLog is a self-tracking and educational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Trigger insights, FODMAP information, and reports are informational only and may be incomplete or inaccurate, especially with limited data. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, medication, or care. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something in the app. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services.

3. GutLog Pro subscriptions & purchases

GutLog's core logging is free. GutLog Pro unlocks additional features and is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) or a one-time lifetime purchase.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the data you enter and for keeping your device and backups secure. GutLog stores your data locally on your device; we cannot recover data lost due to device loss, deletion, or failure to back up.

5. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that insights will be accurate.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

7. Changes to the app and Terms

We may update the app and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.

8. Apple

Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
